Very sad news came from the television world. Well-known actress and comedian Priya Marathe died in Mumbai on the morning of 31 August 2025. At just 38, Priya had fought a long battle with the serious illness of cancer, but finally bade farewell to the world.<\/p>\n

Priya Marathe was born on 23 April 1987 in Mumbai. She was brought up and educated there. After completing her studies, she chose acting as a career and began her journey with Marathi television.<\/p>\n

Her first Marathi show was \u2018Ya Sukhano Ya\u2019, which brought her instant recognition. She then worked in several Marathi serials and gained popularity.<\/p>\n

Among Hindi serials, Priya\u2019s first show was \u2018Kasam Se\u2019, but she gained the most popularity from Zee TV\u2019s well-known show \u2018Pavitra Rishta\u2019. In this serial she played Varsha Satish, a role the audience liked a great deal.<\/p>\n

Priya was also part of shows such as \u2018Bade Achhe Lagte Hain\u2019 and \u2018Comedy Circus\u2019. With her comic timing and acting, she made a special place in both the Hindi and Marathi industries.<\/p>\n

For the previous year Priya Marathe had been battling breast cancer. Despite treatment her condition did not improve, and she finally succumbed to the disease. Her death caused deep mourning in the television and film industry.<\/p>\n
