Given the seriousness of the incident, a special team was formed under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh, and Gudh and Govindgarh police carried out a joint operation and arrested four accused.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"720\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/vindhyasatta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/vs-2be4de2a-inline.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large\" alt=\"Gazi Miyan dargah at Gorgi, where police made arrests after vandalism\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vindhyasatta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/vs-2be4de2a-inline.jpg 720w, https:\/\/vindhyasatta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/vs-2be4de2a-inline-300x138.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vindhyasatta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/vs-2be4de2a-inline-18x8.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n<h3>Accused arrested for vandalising Gazi Miyan dargah and hoisting saffron flag<\/h3>\n<p>Complainant Mohammad Rafique Khan, son of Chhotan Khan (38), a resident of Vichhiya, Ward No. 41, City Kotwali, Rewa, reported at the police station that he looked after the shrine at Gorgi village and performed the Fatiha. He said that around 11 am on 16 August 2025, when he reached the shrine, he found that unknown persons had vandalised the dargah\u2019s dome, minaret, steel door and the rauza inside. A saffron flag had also been hoisted on the premises.<\/p>\n<p>The incident caused great anger among locals, and a large number of people reached the police station. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.<\/p>\n<p>Based on an informer\u2019s tip and a quick investigation, Gudh police arrested four accused: Sunil Chaurasia, Satish Chaurasia, Sandeep Chaurasia and Sudhakar alias Baba Chaurasia (all residents of Gudh police station area, Rewa district).
