In Rewa district, conditions deteriorated so much that the number of patients in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital’s OPD roughly doubled compared with normal days. Cases of mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue and typhoid were also rising rapidly. More patients with vomiting and diarrhoea were arriving because of contaminated water, while dengue and malaria cases were also rising steadily because of mosquitoes. He appealed to people to drink boiled or purified water, keep their surroundings clean and take steps to prevent mosquitoes from breeding.

Hospital management said all doctors and staff were working with full alertness in view of the rising number of patients. The Chief Medical and Health Officer also clarified that efforts were being made to provide better treatment to every patient, although the strain on the hospital’s capacity was clearly visible in the situation then.

[5

post-885","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-rewa-news
["GET
