According to the notice, in the first engineering section (up to km 72), light commercial vehicles would be charged Rs 130, trucks Rs 320 and multi-axle trucks Rs 645 per trip. In the second engineering section (km 72 to 111.500), light commercial vehicles would pay Rs 70, trucks Rs 175 and multi-axle trucks Rs 355. The corporation clarified that the plaza was built at km 106.300 at Karki, tehsil Jaisinghnagar, Shahdol district. According to local residents, the toll would add to the burden on the public, since even small traders regularly travelled this route, though heavy-vehicle operators would be affected more. The Road Development Corporation said toll collection was necessary for better road facilities and maintenance. These rates were to remain in force until 31 August 2025, after which a review was possible. The first part of the toll plaza was at km 70.250 in village Majh, tehsil Beohari, Shahdol district. With this decision, those travelling on the Rewa-Shahdol road would have to pay a fixed amount on every trip.
