Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav was to tour Mauganj district on 7 September, during which a large public meeting with the Chief Minister was organised at Devtalab under the convenorship of Devtalab MLA and former Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam. Addressing a workers\u2019 meeting at the local Madhur Milan Marriage Garden, MLA Gautam said the Chief Minister\u2019s arrival in Devtalab held many meanings for its development. He said the event would prove an important link in giving development a new direction, and that he wanted party workers to work hard to make it a historic success, so that whatever demands for Devtalab\u2019s development were placed before the Chief Minister could be accepted on stage in the presence of a huge crowd, paving the way for Devtalab\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

Event to be held as a Jan Kumbh<\/h3>\n

Former Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker and Devtalab MLA Girish Gautam told a press conference that until then people of the area had been called by appealing to make public meetings successful, and the turnout of local people had always been historic. Since a Mahakumbh was held that year in Prayagraj, he said, they wanted this event in Devtalab to be held as a Jan Kumbh, so that the Chief Minister would see the presence of the people there and they would get his support in advancing the development of the Devtalab constituency. Mr Gautam said the Chief Minister would first go to the Bahuti waterfall, where, after showing him the view, they would demand that Bahuti be developed as a tourist centre. After that, following darshan at Maa Ashtabhuja, he would reach Devtalab, where after darshan and worship of Lord Shiva he would address the large Jan Kumbh. During this, development works worth crores of rupees were to be gifted to the Devtalab constituency by the Chief Minister. He said they wanted a Devtalab Lok to be built in Devtalab, just as Mahakal Lok was built in Ujjain, and Devtalab developed as a tourist pilgrimage site. For this, all workers should reach out to people in phases and invite them to make the event a success, and a review meeting was to be held again on 2 September for more detailed discussions.<\/p>\n
