From daughter to lieutenant: the story of Ayushi Verma
On 1 September Vindhya Satta News brought you the story of a daughter who made the entire Vindhya region hold its head high with pride. It was the story of Rewa’s Ayushi Verma, who had become a lieutenant in the Indian Army.
And the special thing was that Ayushi had become the first woman lieutenant from Vindhya.
As they say,
“Dreams come true only for those who have the courage to fulfil them.”
Ayushi too dreamed of serving the country, of defending the motherland in uniform — and she made it a reality.
Ayushi’s journey began in an ordinary family. Her father, Ramesh Verma, was a sports teacher at Sacred Heart Convent School in Rewa, and Ayushi completed her schooling at the same school.
