The assistant commissioner appealed to residents to help maintain cleanliness in the city. She said:
It is true that keeping the city clean is the corporation’s job, but citizens too have a duty to cooperate. Every household should take full responsibility for its own surroundings, not throw garbage in the open, and hand over dry and wet waste separately to the garbage vehicles run by the corporation. She said this city belonged to all of us, and urged everyone to fulfil the duty of a good citizen by helping keep the cleanliness system running smoothly. She also directed that stray animals roaming the city’s roads be caught and sent to a cow shelter. Navjeevan Vihar in-charge Santosh Tiwari, Amresh Pandey, Ashok Tripathi, Ramsharan, Citadel in-charge Ravendra Singh, Sulabh in-charge Avinash Singh and traders were present.
