Singrauli district got 20 new Dial 112 vehicles

Citizens would now have to use the number Dial-112 instead of the earlier Dial-100 for police help. Dial-112 is a national emergency service that integrates police, fire brigade, ambulance, disaster management and other emergency agencies. This would make assistance and response in emergencies faster, more coordinated and more effective. With the new vehicles, police response time in the district was expected to improve further. Citizens would now be able to get quick police help in road accidents, crime reports, fires, incidents related to women’s safety and other emergencies.

Under the Dial-112 project renewal

The Madhya Pradesh government provided 10 Scorpio-N vehicles for urban areas and 10 Bolero Neo vehicles for rural areas. All the vehicles were equipped with modern facilities, including body-worn cameras, dash cameras, a GPS tracking system, a mobile data terminal (MDT), mobile and wireless communication equipment, a PA system and beacon lights, so that help could be reached immediately under the quick response system on information received on Dial-112. Each vehicle also carried a first-aid box and a stretcher so that, in emergencies such as road accidents, the injured could be taken quickly to the nearest hospital.

At the launch of the new Dial-112 vehicles, Superintendent of Police Manish Khatri and Additional Superintendent of Police Abhishek Ranjan performed a formal puja and flagged off all the vehicles to various police stations in the district. Present were City Superintendent of Police, Vindhyanagar, P.S. Parste; SDOP Singrauli Gaurav Pandey; SDOP Deosar Gayatri Tiwari; SDOP Chitrangi Rahul Saiyam; Reserve Inspector Keshav Singh Chauhan; Subedar Ashish Tiwari; Sub-Inspector Satendra Pathak (Radio Branch); and other police officers and staff.
