Air India's new service linking Delhi, Khajuraho and Varanasi is scheduled to begin on October 25, 2026, under the airline's Northern Winter Schedule, according to a schedule reported in March this year. The service is to operate daily, with the routing alternating by day of the week. Travellers should confirm the current status with the airline before booking.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight AI2568 is to fly Delhi–Khajuraho–Varanasi–Delhi. It leaves Delhi at 1:25 pm and reaches Khajuraho at 2:40 pm. It leaves Khajuraho at 3:30 pm, reaching Varanasi at 4:15 pm, and then flies back to Delhi from 5:05 pm to 6:30 pm.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flight AI2567 flies Delhi–Varanasi–Khajuraho–Delhi. It leaves Delhi at 1:25 pm and reaches Varanasi at 2:50 pm. From Varanasi it departs at 3:40 pm and lands in Khajuraho at 4:25 pm, and the Khajuraho–Delhi leg runs from 5:15 pm to 6:30 pm.

The report did not specify the type of aircraft to be used.

Khajuraho, known worldwide for its group of medieval temples, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the winter months bring the largest numbers of visitors. A daily flight that also connects to Varanasi makes it easier to combine the two destinations in one trip, and it could help local hotels, guides and handicraft sellers.

Air connectivity has long been a demand of the tourism industry in Bundelkhand. The extra service would add to the flights already operating from the airport and the festival special train between Khajuraho and Delhi.
