Mishra gave detailed information on many cyber crimes, including voice clone fraud, SIM swapping fraud, Facebook and WhatsApp fraud, and online transaction fraud. Additional SP Vikram Singh said people involved in cyber crime were adopting new methods of fraud, and the more every member of the police force knew about them, the more successfully police would be able to reach such criminals, curb the new online crimes occurring in society and deliver justice to people. Senior journalist Sampatti Dasgupta, who was present, spoke openly about his own experience of five WhatsApp accounts being shut down within 40 days, and said that even after emails saying the accounts were closed by mistake or would be restored after some days, there was no option to learn why his account was closed. Subedar Amit Vishwakarma appreciated the detailed information given by Mishra and said that if such seminars were held from time to time, police personnel would keep getting new information on cyber crimes, and that they would be able to reach offenders while investigating cyber cell cases occurring in society. Police personnel from across the district attended the seminar.
