Deputy CM Shukla extended Independence Day greetings, urged ‘vocal for local’
Deputy Chief Minister and Shahdol in-charge minister Rajendra Shukla greeted people on Independence Day and urged them to adopt ‘Vocal for Local’ and Made in India products.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings and good wishes to the people of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla
He said the occasion reminded us of the great freedom fighters who waged a long struggle for the country’s independence with their valour and indomitable courage, laying down their lives. The country became free as a result of their sacrifices. That day was a day to pay homage to all the immortal martyrs and brave fighters. Shukla said the country had by then entered the Amrit Kaal of independence. The swadeshi mantra ‘Make in India, Vocal for Local’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi must be adopted quickly by all. The country was on the path to becoming an economic superpower, and the freedom fighters’ resolve for a prosperous India was being realised. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country was close to its goal. Shukla said that in the Amrit Kaal of independence, many schemes covering infrastructure, per capita income, housing for the poor and health security had reached the ground. India ranked fourth in the world economically and would soon overtake Germany to become the third-largest economy. In 2047, when 100 years of independence would be complete, India would not only be an economic superpower but would also lead the world. Shukla called on the people of the state to adopt Vocal for Local and Made in India, use swadeshi products, and contribute actively in areas such as energy conservation, tree planting, health and education. Independence Day was a day to strengthen our resolve; whatever field we were in, we should remain continuously active in work for the national interest.
