The notice stated that a reference notice had earlier been sent for depositing the outstanding amount of the Rani Talab conservation and management contract. In response, two cheques of Rs 2 lakh each were deposited on 13 December 2022, and adjustment of the Covid-period amount was shown. It was also stated that a proposal for waiving the premium for the lockdown period had been sent to the state government, and the amount might be refunded after its approval.

At that time, the outstanding principal on the Rani Talab contract was Rs 10,83,934, and the 18 percent interest levied on it had not yet been deposited. The corporation directed that the outstanding amount be deposited in the Rewa Municipal Corporation treasury within 15 days of receiving the notice.

Otherwise, the allotment of Shop No. 02 in Block A of Mahamrityunjay Complex at SAF Chauraha, Rewa, would be cancelled and the Rs 8,11,900 deposited against it would be adjusted against the dues. The remaining amount would be recovered by attachment and sale of movable and immovable property under Section 390-A of the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956.

Proceedings for criminal breach of trust and cheating would also be initiated against the person concerned. In addition, the name would be blacklisted and the person barred from participating in any Rewa Municipal Corporation tender for two years, for which the person concerned would be responsible.
